
Post-It inequality
I have been doing some graphics for my talk on female playwrights for tomorrow, International Women’s Day – and this one really sums it up.
In the week of 9-15 February (according to Time Out) of 82 plays, only 9 have been written by women. Investigating further, 4 of those were adaptations and 1 was The Mousetrap, so for original new work, only really 4 out of 82. (Although next time I will break it down further to see how many plays in total are new plays.)
