Theatre 503 is accepting proposals for its annual Edinburgh Festival preview season – FEST!

Theatre503 is the home of fearless, irreverent and brave new writing. Voted by Time Out to be one of the top 5 new writing venues in London – it is the only one without public funding to receive such an accolade – 503 continues to inspire, excite and challenge its audiences. Throughout July Theatre503 will be previewing a selection of the best work making its way to the Edinburgh Festival this year. Though new writing will be given preference, we’re also interested to hear from comedians, sketch shows, one-person shows – anything that is new.

Writers wanted for Off Cut Festival 2010, In Company Theatre

Closes 1 June, 5pm. Unpaid (Voluntary)

In Company Theatre is NOW accepting submissions for the Off Cut Festival 2010

After the huge success of Off Cut 2009, we are returning to The Old Red Lion Theatre this autumn.

We will be selecting 24 fifteen minute pieces, which will be shown in four groups of six. Showing in rep over 2 weeks, the top two plays from each group – as voted for by the audience – will go through to the third week. This year, a ‘wild card’ will be chosen from the remaining 16 plays by the In Company reading panel for inclusion in the final week.

These finalists will be perfomed in front of a panel of industry professionals, headed by Moira Buffini (The National Theatre’s Writer-in-Residence) and Lisa Babalis (literary agent for The Agency). Four prizes will be awarded including a production package from In Company Theatre and The Old Red Lion.

Applications close 5pm June 1st 2010
