Are you sitting comfortably? flier

I have been getting into writing short stories and storytelling. Short stories (Wikipedia tells me) are anything between 1K – 10K words, but most usually around the 5K mark. I think they are a really good way of keeping your hand in when you’re not in the mood to do something more sustained.

And there are far more outlets for them right now: a recent short story I wrote on the topic of something taboo, (not telling any more), is going to be performed as part of a storytelling night in November. You can go along and hear it (and have a cake) if you are in London, 5th November, 7.30pm, (£5) at the Toynbee Cafe, E1. Search for ‘Are you sitting comfortably?’ on Facebook.

This sounds very interesting, as I, too, write short fiction.
I’ll definitely be having a look at this.
